Copper Mountain is the largest
ski resort in Summit County, Colorado with 2,450 acres
of ski and snowboard terrain. Great for your Colorado
winter ski vacation with shopping, dining, convenient
lodging, and family activities including snow tubing,
snowshoeing and snowmobiling. Located 75 miles west
of Denver in the Colorado Rocky Mountains.
Before Copper Mountain's opening,
the U.S. Forest Service was quoted saying, "If
there were a mountain that had terrain for skiing it
would be Copper Mountain. It is probably the most outstanding
potential ski area in the Arapahoe National Forest,
and possibly Colorado", and we couldn't have said
it better ourselves.
From the smallest child to the
oldest adult you'll find yourself surrounded by family
fun activities all around. You can spend the day getting
a thrill tubing on Copper Mountain's especially reserved
tubing hill, or speed things up and hit patches of hidden
powder while exploring the base of the mountain on snowmobiles.
If you are looking for a bit of
romance, take a horse-drawn sleigh for a dinner in the
woods, fresh with live entertainment, perfect for setting
the mood. And with over 2,400 acres of served ski lift
area, Copper Mountain is Summit County's largest ski
and snowboard resort.
